Oahu is known as “The Gathering Place”. And gather they do - the world-renowned Waikiki Beach is the most popular visitor destination in Hawaii. You’ll find accommodations from economy to luxury. Shop till you drop at the International Marketplace or visit the more exclusive stores located throughout Waikiki. Restaurants run the gamut from familiar fast food burger joints to gourmet heaven. Entertainment surrounds you wherever you go. And then there is THE BEACH, with swimming, snorkeling, surfing and LOTS of sunning. What else do you need? |
Maui is called “The Valley Isle”, because of the fertile valley that rests between two large extinct volcanoes. This island is where you can see humpback whales in winter and ride on horseback into a volcano crater. You can travel the infamous Road to Hana, stopping along the way to gaze at fabulous waterfalls. Maui’s many beaches are perfect for family fun, snorkeling and windsurfing. The many attractions are all part of why you’ll often hear “Maui no ka oi” – “Maui is the best” – from visitors and locals alike. |
Hawaii is best known as “The Big Island”, simply because it is twice the size of the other seven islands combined. It is also the youngest of the Hawaiian Islands and still growing, thanks to Kilauea Volcano. Hawaii is a very colorful island, with find red-hot lava from the volcano, clear blue water fringed by white sand beaches and green tropical rain forests. This island maintains the feel of Old Hawaii while providing all of the modern amenities, a combination sure to make your stay unforgettable. |
Kauai is “The Garden Isle”, so-called for its lush greenery and fragrant flowers. Less developed and more laid back than the other islands, Kauai offers privacy and romance, along with the opportunity for adventure. You’ve undoubtedly seen some of the island’s magnificent scenery in such movies as JurassicPark (Mt. Waialeale) and South Pacific (Lumahai Beach), or the opening scenes of the 70’s TV series FantasyIsland (Wailua Falls). It’s easy to see why many call Kauai their favorite Hawaiian island. |
Lana'i is known as “The Pineapple Isle”. This is where Dole once had the world’s largest pineapple plantation. Here you’ll find the charm of a bygone era. Lana’i City looks like a town from the 1920’s, with some cars and trucks added. Accommodations range from 5-star resorts to camping sites. Lana’i is the secluded, remote, private Island of Hawaii, perfect for those who want to get away from it all. |
